Briar Music Press is a small publishing company focusing on fine editions of ensemble music for trombones. Like Ensemble Publications in the 1950s, Briar Music Press grew out of a body of transcriptions, arrangements, and original compositions written in the 1990s for the Eastman Trombone Choir in Rochester, New York.

Briar Music Press editions are intended for college-level ensembles and adhere to a high standard of quality in both content and presentation. Alto, tenor, and bass clefs are used liberally. Editions derived from vocal music include complete texts in their original languages and, where necessary, in English translation. Scores and parts are printed, not photocopied, on 60#, acid-free paper and are folded and stapled within covers for durability and ease of use.
